We have multiple paramedics who have completed their nursing degrees or joined the firefighter ranks and have either moved on to become full-time members of the nursing community or are currently in the Avon Fire Department Recruit Academy. Though these are celebratory events, the moves have created vacancies that we are moving to fill quickly.
We are seeking high performing and motivated Paramedics to join Avon Fire Department to serve an extraordinary community. Our paramedics are Merit Members with promotional opportunities after one (1) year of affiliation.
This process is to establish a hiring list per our Merit Document for current and future openings. We are seeking current paramedics or paramedic students in their Capstone. All Capstone students must be licensed paramedics prior to receiving a conditional offer. Our hiring list will be valid for a minimum of six (6) months with an option for the department to extend it for another six months based on need and size of the list.
