The Avon Town Court started in 2000.
Judge Maureen T. Owen holds court the first Thursday
of every month at 4pm (unless otherwise noted).
The court handles infractions and ordinance violations.
In 2008, there were 3,059 infractions and 220 ordinance violations,
for a total of 3,279 cases slated into the court.
In addition to the judge, the court staff consists of one full-time
court administrator.
